Pass the kleenex!
We’re all going to write a blue t on the back of our hands, next to a 13 if we fancy, to show others that we’re on tumblr and it’s cool to come say hi! Please pass this on so everyone gets the chance to say hi to someone!

I’m always crying because taylor swift is always doing something
I was listening to the Fearless album on the way to work yesterday, and it got me thinking about an interview I read a while ago. In it, the interviewer had seen the Red tour and was interviewing Taylor Swift the next day. They said that You Belong With Me didn’t really feel like a love song anymore, but a message directly from a Taylor to all of her fans.
And I can see that with much of her early album.
Fearless came out when I was at the High School crush stage, and at times it can feel a little like that. It’s about innocent love and first heartbreak. It’s hopeful. It’s the reason I became a Swiftie.
Then Speak Now came out. I hadn’t gone back to it for a long time after I moved through the next stage of High School, many of the emotions still felt too raw. Because it’s about first relationships and how painfully they fall apart. It’s about moving on and trying to still be yourself. It’s a different type of love to the Fearless love because it’s not so innocent. It’s not a fairy tale, but a dream. It’s dark in places, there’s bitterness, but it’s still about living and loving. I can’t listen to it now without it hurting, but I can’t if I’m sad or in a bad mood. I love it because it really hits me hard and it’s beautiful. I couldn’t stand Haunted for so long because it reminded me of all the friends who’d just gone.
Then came Red.
This masterpiece of an album is post-High School. It’s going off to university and having a job and learning that you don’t have to regret a relationship just because it fell apart. I still see old friends around town, but it doesn’t hurt any more. I accept that they’ve moved on, but mostly I’m happy for them and glad that we had some time together. Red is fresh, new experiences, me becoming an adult and independent. It going to big cities and concerts and learning to enjoy being alone. It’s the stage of life that I’m currently in, looking back on my past fairly and looking towards my future hopefully.
So now, when I listen to Fearless, I see me as a young teen. But I also see where we’ve been. Me and Taylor. The things I got through all thanks to her. The love songs I once learned on my guitar, thinking about the silly boy around the corner, they’re not for him anymore. They’re for her. ‘Its a love story’? Of course it is, one of platonic love too. She begged me to say 'yes’ and I did. So now I’m happy at 19. I have a life that I enjoy, impossible dreams to achieve and a lot left to learn.
She took my hand and dragged me head first, and I’ll always be grateful.
Because she knew where I belonged, even when I didn’t.
Fearless is the love story between her and her fans, and I’m so glad that it became that instead of something else.
WE’RE BRINGING BACK THE BLUE T PLAN!!!
What we were thinking was that, if you want, you can write a big blue t in the back of your hand, to signify that you’re on tumblr and are happy to exchange urls. This’ll mean that people going in smaller groups will still be able to say hi to people, especially if they’re normally scared to speak to strangers.
Blue t= come say hi! So spread the word!
Aw man, Swifties are so full of love and it’s so nice to see everyone supporting each other when their dreams come true.
I just got a message on taylor connect asking if I want to hang out in Glasgow during the EMAs and yesterday I got a message from a girl telling me I was pretty. Last week, a girl said I reminded her of Emma Watson.
I love Swifties so much. I feel so loved by them all.
I’m wearing my Taylor Swift jumper and the airport security guard started singing WANEGBT
I was listening to Taylor Swift speaking on the radio. She said when the whole stadium is singing your lyrics back to you, you don’t feel alone any more.
Well, I know my lyrics couldn’t fill a stadium.
But I also know I don’t need the to feel less lonely, all I need is knowing another girl out there feels the way I do.
And if that girl needs to know it, I’ll sing as loud as I can.
The myth that panic, looting, and antisocial behavior increases during the apocalypse (or apocalyptic-like scenarios) is in fact a myth—and has been solidly disproved by multiple scientific studies. The National Earthquake Hazards Reduction Program, a research group within the United States Federal Emergency Management Administration (FEMA), has produced research that shows over and over again that “disaster victims are assisted first by others in the immediate vicinity and surrounding area and only later by official public safety personnel […] The spontaneous provision of assistance is facilitated by the fact that when crises occur, they take place in the context of ongoing community life and daily routines—that is, they affect not isolated individuals but rather people who are embedded in networks of social relationships.” (Facing Hazards and Disasters: Understanding Human Dimensions, National Academy of Sciences, 2006). Humans do not, under the pressure of an emergency, socially collapse. Rather, they seem to display higher levels of social cohesion, despite what media or government agents might expect…or portray on TV. Humans, after the apocalypse, band together in collectives to help one another—and they do this spontaneously. Disaster response workers call it ‘spontaneous prosocial helping behavior’, and it saves lives.
I’ve been sharing this article a lot recently! I think it’s important
#stop believing capitalism’s myths about human nature#and start remembering that we are the descendants of the first animals to bury their dead with flowers#we are all alive because of kindness. because of cooperation. because of companionship. because of mutual aid.#we did not become the dominant species based on rugged individualism: we survived together. and that’s the only way forward.
